Coach Vick Barrett
My name is Vick Barrett. I am married to Jaclyn Barrett, and we have two children. Colt-4 and Kendady-2.
I graduated from Magnet Cove High School in 2001 and went on to play 4 years of college football at the University of Arkansas Monticello.I lettered all 4 years, and played a variety of postions while there. I was a QB, Fullback, Tightend and Deepsnapper.
While at UAM I majored in Health and Phyiscal Education. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Health and PE in 2005. I also received my Master's Degree from UAM in 2006.
I have spent the past 7 years Teaching and Coaching at Hot Springs High School. I served in several different capacities while at Hot Springs. I taught Middle School and Elementary PE, and I also served as a Remedial English Teacher. As a coach, I was the Offensive Cordinator, Defensive Cordinator for both Jr. and Sr. High.
I am super excited to be the Head Football Coach at Poyen. I look forward to being a part of a community that is so passionate about what is going on in their community. I look forward to building a Football Program that rivals the top in the state at our level. We want to be Champions on and off the field.
